Art Intersection: Light Sensitive

Nocturnes #7 and #28 will be travelling to Gilbert, Arizona to Art Intersection for its annual exhibition, Art Sensitive, a celebration of all things analog.  Juror for the exhibition is Katherine Ware, Curator of Photography at the New Mexico Museum of Art in Santa Fe, and formerly Curator of Photographs at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and Assistant Curator in the Department of Photographs at the J. Paul Getty Museum.

The exhibition will hang from 9 March until 23 April.


Nocturne Number Seven is actually the first 20×20 inch plate we pulled from the fix.

TPS 22: The International Competition

February 11 brought the news that Nocturne #14 will be travelling with the Texas Photo Society’s annual International Competition.  Juror for the exhibition is Blue Mitchell of Portland, Oregon.  Number Fourteen will begin its journey at the Amanda Smith Gallery in Johnson City, Texas, on March 1.  Public Reception is Saturday, March 30.  Judy will be there.  The BIG camera will be there throughout the month.

Today it is Nocturne #33.  We call it the Shinto Shrine.  We have shot this pier from every angle we can think of.  Hurricane Katrina gave us the first few shots then Hurricane Isaac came along and made some adjustments.
